The second Annual Kickin’ Butt for Crohn’s 5-K race will be held ran on Friday evening, July 18th.
The race starts at the Williamson Fieldhouse and the route will be in West End and starts at 7:30 p.m. Registration will start at 6:00 p.m., but pre-registration is encouraged.
Last year there was an amazing turnout with nearly 300 runners/walkers that participated.
Tonya Cool is working hard to make this another great event in memory of her mother, Jean Stanley.
Sign-ups should be done early so race organizers can have your shirt ready for you during packet pickup. They will have finisher medals and trophies in each male and female age division.
All this is made possible with the help of sponsorship funds from Joshua Ferrell, Butch Leedy, Leigh Ann Ray, Stacie Beckett, Justin Marcum, Blake Keathley, Bobbi Campbell and her husband at Gearheart Communications, Courtney Syck Keene and her husband Jordan at East Kentucky Mobile Movers, CVS Pharmacy and Thelma Maynard at Giovanni’s for donating pizza for the event.
Organizers also thank David Hatfield, Ellen Hatfield and Alexis Batausa from the Tug Valley Road Runners Club (TVRRC).
To register, runners can check the Facebook page that has been set up.
