Esculene Baisden, 73, of Grove City, OH, formerly of Lenore, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, July 31, 2013, at Emeritus at Pinnacle in Grove City.
Born June 7, 1940, in Naugatuck, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Damron and Nora Muncy Damron.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lowell Ray Baisden, Sr., a son, James Eric Baisden; and a sister, Ruby Jane Damron.
Esculene retired after many years of dedicated service as a school bus operator with the Mingo County Board of Education.
Esculene was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed many activities during her lifetime. She truly loved worshipping God and attending services at the Livingstone Church of God. She spent time crocheting, cook and copying recipes and above all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Esculene was a delight to know and being in her presence was always a pleasure. She greeted everyone with a warm smile and a soft hello. She will be deeply missed and lovingly thought of always.
Esculene is survived by her children, Debra Lynn Hansen, Donald Ray Baisden, Kathy June Baisden, Kimberly Michelle (Brian Keith) Simpkins, Deanna Gayle (Timothy) Krisik, Lowell Ray (Sherrie Lynn) Baisden, Jr.; grandchildren: Mellsa Lynn Hansen, James Eric Baisden, , Daniel Eugene Baisden, Adrienne Nicole Baisden, Brian Keith Simpkins, Jr., Megan Danielle Simpkins, Timothy Brett Krisik, Bradley Garrett Krisik, Cailey MaKenna Krisik, Keaton Chase Baisden, Brayden Cole Baisden; great-grandchildren: Isaac Miguel Hansen, Kayla Skeeley, Naomie Marie Rayes, Cleo Lynn Rayes; a half-sister: Melva June Toney, Joyce Lee Baisden, Beverly Carol Justice, Linda Karen Newsome and a brother, Thomas Gary Damron.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday evening, August 3, 2013, at Weaver Mortuary in West Williamson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Sunday, August 4, at the Livingstone Church of God at Lenore. The Reverend Ron Toler will officiate.
Entombment is in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
