Appalachian Power Company has brought in crews from outside the state to help with clearing trees and repairing downed power lines. Thousands of residents in Southern West Virginia, as well as Eastern Kentucky, were without electricity earlier this week after severe thunderstorms hit the region. The picture above shows a crew in East Williamson meeting on Thursday evening discussing strategy. A little later they were on the hillside cutting trees with chainsaws. The buzzing sounded like bees.
