Kyle Lovern/WDNThe Harvey Street underpass in downtown Williamson should be reopening early next week. A foreman at the job site said Wednesday that the last of the concrete will be poured around the final grate today. He said the state Department of Highways crew that comes from Huntington has five counties to serve in this district. The crew has been pulled off the underpass for other jobs during the past few weeks. However, the viaduct, a main artery for local traffic, should be open to traffic next week. Many residents have complained about the inconvenience of the route being blocked, however the underpass will be smoother and the new drains will not rattle as much.
