Annual Harvest Festival and Auction scheduled in Gilbert

GILBERT - The 56th annual Harvest Festival and Auction that is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Gilbert will be held on Saturday, November 2, at the Gilbert Middle School at Horsepen.
The doors to the school will open at 6 p.m. and the auction is scheduled to begin at 7. Food and drinks will be available inside the cafeteria.
The annual auction has been a major fund-raising event for the Gilbert Kiwanis for the past 55 years and continues to be a very successful one. The Gilbert Kiwanis Club also serves as the Chamber of Commerce for the town and clearing house for all community projects, charitable and otherwise. A few of these notable projects include the annual pancake breakfast that features pictures with Santa and treats for the children; supporting the local athletic teams and cheerleaders; taking approximately 40 needy children Christmas shopping; and providing college scholarships.
“We sincerely hope you will donate merchandise for the auction, and should you have a business where merchandise is not available, we would be happy to accept a gift certificate or a cash donation,” said Jerry Lyall, President of the Kiwanis Club of Gilbert.
