POCA - Noah Frampton posted 19 points as host Poca earned its 16th straight boys basketball win Wednesday night, defeating Mingo Central 81-37.
Kayden Meeks scored 18 points and Matt Chandler added 17 for the Dots (18-1).
Alex Lee led the Miners (9-8) with 17 points and Dikembe Dixson chipped in 10 points. Mingo Central only had four players to score. Mallie May and Julius Hatcher each chipped in 5 points.
Poca jumped out to a quick 20-10 lead and led 40-21 at the half. They continued to pour if on outscoring the Miners 19-11 and 22-5 in the final two quarters.
Mingo headed back up U.S. 119 last night to take on Sissonville and will travel to Scott tonight for another Cardinal Conference game. They play host to Tolsia on Saturday night and the seniors on the team will be honored.
