JUSTICE - Two suspects are in custody after being arrested by Mingo County Sheriff’s Department Cpl. E. Sherrill on one count each of possession with intent to deliver.


According to the arrest warrant and the criminal complaint filed by Sherrill, Bobbi Dawn Bryant, 41, of Justice, and Jessie Gravely, 31, of Verner, delivered hydrocodone (Schedule II substance) and oxycodone (a Schedule II substance) to an undercover informant that was workingwith the sheriff’s department.


The warrants stemmed from investigations that were conducted last March and June, wrapping up some former cases that were yet to be closed.


The defendants were arraigned before Mingo County Magistrate Dee Sidebottom and were released from the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden after meeting the requirements and stipulations of their bond. Bryant and Gravely will be required to appear in magistrate court for their preliminary hearing on the charges in the near future.


Mingo County Sheriff James Smith said illegal drugs are a top priority for him and the officers in his department and he encourages the public to report any suspicious behavior or activity in their communities by calling 304-235-0300.
