S. WILLIAMSON, Ky. - The top priority of the Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital is to serve the public with the best physicians possible. According to Tim Hatfield, the Community CEO for the healthcare facility, the recent addition of four new doctors is a prime example that these efforts have not been in vain.

Edilfavia Mae S, Uy, M.D., an Internal Medicine physician, specializes in the treatment and management of diseases and conditions in adult patients. Dr. Uy did her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut. Her postgraduate medical training was at the University of Connecticut Health Center, St. Francis Hospital and Hartford Hospital. She was awarded top honors throughout her academic career.

Dr. Uy is trained to treat and manage diseases and conditions that affect the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, urinary tract, brain, spinal cord and other organs. She creates treatment plans that incorporate therapy, medication, nutrition or surgery to manage patient illnesses and injuries.

Kenneth R. Dulnuan, M.D., is a cardiologist and board certified Internal Medicine Specialist. Dr. Dulnuan did his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania where he trained in Diagnostic Catheterization, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Computed Tomography. His residency in Internal Medicine was at the State University of New York, located in Syracuse.

M. Scott Martin, D.O. is a Pediatrician who will be providing care for children from birth to early adulthood. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ailments specific to young people and tracks their growth to adulthood.

Dr. Martin completed his residency and Internship in Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky, Kentucky Children’s Hospital. He is a local resident that attended EKU and the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Martin will be treating day-to-day illnesses that are common to children, such as minor injuries and infectious diseases. He will also conduct well visits and immunizations. As a pediatrician he will be working with parents, helping them make important decisions regarding their children’s health and development.

Amanda R. Lowe, is a Family Medicine Physician, who will provide comprehensive healthcare for a wide range of ages. Dr. Lowe is a local resident who attended Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine. Her residency and internship were completed at the Pikeville Medical Center.

Dr. Lowe will be practicing family medicine including care for all ages, cold and flu treatment, diabetic management, health maintenance, osteoporosis screening and treatment, school, work and yearly exams, and women’s health. She also coordinates patient care during hospitalization.
