WILLIAMSON - Law enforcement officers in Mingo County have been busy, with all agencies reporting multiple arrests during the last week.


Austin Dotson, 20, of Matewan, was charged with possession with intent to deliver after police discovered 60 Xanax (Schedule IV controlled substance) in his pocket after they responded to a disturbance call. The arrest was conducted by Matewan Police Chief A. Mounts and Patrolmen B.T. Sipple II and J.D. Tincher.


Daphne Jill Chapman, 37, of Turkey Creek, Ky., was arrested and charged with driving on a revoked license for reasons of DUI, possession of a controlled substance (methadone), prohibited drug purchases or receipt of such, and defective equipment by State Police Trooper D.L. Contos.


Cayla Breana Sincell, 23, of Matewan, was taken into custody by Matewan patrolmen B.T. Sipple II and J.D. Tincher, and was charged with driving on a suspended license for reasons of DUI, defective equipment and no insurance.


Jimmy John Cline, 32, of Baisden, was charged with one count each of domestic assault and domestic battery following his arrest by state Troopers D.C. Moore and J.K. Harris.


Cody Cline, 48, of Baisden, was arrested by Mingo County Sheriff’s Department deputies R. Fitch and J. Endicott, and was charged with DUI, no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident.


Johnny K. Sherpinskas, 39, of Freeburn, Ky., was taken into custody on charges of driving on a suspended license for reasons of DUI by Matewan Patrolman B.T. Sipple II.


Steven Craig Looney, 25, of Matewan, was arrested by Mingo County Deputy R. Fitch and was charged with domestic battery and unlawful wounding.


Charles David Kinser, 38, of Narrows Branch Road, Ky., was placed under arrest on charges of driving on a revoked license for reasons of DUI and speeding.


Stephen Chaffin, 31, of Delbarton, was charged with driver’s license revoked, second offense, following his arrest by state Trooper D.M. Williamson.


Paul Curtis Vance, 28, of Logan, was arrested by Delbarton Police Chief D. Nunley and Patrolmen J. McCown and C. Carter on charges of speeding, driving left of center, driving on a suspended license and DUI.


Aaron J. Brown, 50, of Williamson, was taken into custody on charges of domestic battery by Williamson Police Department officers Sgt. J. Spence and J.D. Tincher.


Demichael Lewis, 32, of Cleveland, Ohio, was charged with two counts of obstructing an officer and fleeing, no vehicle. The arrest was conducted by Williamson Patrolmen J. Marcum and J. Tincher.


Jeremiah Wayne Loy, 32, of Chattaroy, was placed under arrest by Williamson Patrolmen J. Marcum and J. Tincher on charges of DUI, no insurance, obstructing and carrying a concealed weapon without a license.


Jonathan Clyde Christian, 25, of Gilbert, was charged with destruction of property and was placed under arrest by Mingo Sheriff’s Cpl. J. Endicott and Deputy R. Fitch.


Adrienne Celeste Dean, 22, of Gilbert, was arrested by state Trooper First Class J.K. Harris and Trooper H.A. Rose after being charged with two counts of obstructing, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.


Todd Michael Dotson, 39, of Williamson, faces charges of domestic battery and public intoxication following his arrest by Mingo Sheriff’s Cpl. C.G. Endicott and Williamson Patrolman J.D. Tincher.


The defendants were arraigned in Mingo County Magistrate Court and will be making a second appearance in the next seven-10 days for their preliminary hearings.
