We have not been blessed with grandchildren yet.

Award winning journalist, photographer and author, Kyle Lovern, has returned to the Williamson Daily News. Lovern accepted the position of sports editor on March 5. A long time newspaper man, Lovern has worked in nearly every aspect of the newspaper business. As well as a sports writer, he has also worked as a news journalist, columnist, web-site manager, feature writer, photographer and even in advertising and sales. He was the editor of the Logan Standard and has written two books which were published by Woodland Press. He recently finished two more books, one of which is a highly anticipated pictorial, featuring old photos of the Tug Valley area. Lovern, a life-time resident of the Tug Valley area, was born and raised in Nolan, WV. He and his wife, Vicki, live in Williamson and have three children - Tina, Erin and Matt, three grandchildren - Gracie, Gabbie and Reese, and an adopted beagle named Petey.

Rachel Dove-Baldwin has been a news reporter with the Williamson Daily News since Jan. of 2011, and was also previously employed in this position for a four year period. She is a native of Martin County Ky., and now resides near Belfry with her husband and step-children. Rachel is the proud mother of two sons and the grandmother of three. She is actively involved in numerous community organizations including the Action in Mingo group, for which she has chaired many King Coal Festival and Great White Way events. Rachel also serves on the Board of Directors for the Hatfield and McCoy Tourism Board.
