Reed a candidate for Pike BOE

PIKEVILLE - Tim Reed, II of Turkey Creek, Ky., has filed as a candidate for Pike County School Board Member for District 4, which is the Belfry area.

Reed is 30 years old and a resident and graduated from Belfry High School in 2002 and graduated Pikeville College in 2006 with a Bachelors of Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting and Management.

Reed has been married to his wife Ashley for eight years. Ashley is also a graduate of Belfry High School. They have three children; a daughter, Sophia, who is 5 years old and two sons; Isaac who is 3 years old and Harper who is 4 months old.

“I feel my work experience in the accounting field will be beneficial as a school board member when making decisions regarding the use of our resources in an efficient manner,” Reed said. “I find it imperative that we give our teachers and administrators the tools needed to provide a quality education in an environment conducive to learning. As a community, we have a vested interest in our children’s education.”

He is the son of Tim and Susie Reed, who operate Reed’s Home Décor in the South Side Mall.
