Construction worker killed

LOGAN — The Logan County Sheriff’s Department has reported the death of a Justice man at a local construction site.

According to the release, Randy Wykle, 32, of Justice, suffered fatal injuries when he was struck by a piece of equipment at Hickory Lane at Three Mile Curve near the sight of the construction of the new bridge on Rt. 10 going towards Man. Wykle was employed by Fortner Logging at Gilbert.

The call came in around 2:20 p.m. Friday, June 13. Lt. D.A. Brown, as well as medical personnel from LEASA, responded. Wykle was transported to the Logan Regional Medical Center where Logan County Coroner Mike Casey responded to assist with the investigation.

At this time, the incident is still under investigation.
