DELBARTON - Robbie Adams, a Delbarton resident who owns and operates a heating and cooling business, is a nonpartisan candidate for the Mingo County Board of Education seat that he was appointed to fill following the resignation of Mike Carter, who gave up his board seat to accept an appointment to the county commission.

Adams says he has the ability to provide positive input during meetings and can assist in guiding the Mingo County school board in a positive direction. He feels that by collaborating and listening to educators, members of the community and students he can provide county schools with the best programs and educational opportunities available.

“The most important issue we are currently facing is the current status of Mingo County schools being under state control,” he said. “As a board member, I will research the situation, seek to find the reasons why we are remaining under state control, and work to determine the solution that puts our students’ educational future back in the hands of the people of Mingo County.”

Adams asks for your vote when you go to the polls on May 13, and hopes the people of Mingo County will place the future of the Mingo County Board of Education in the capable hands of a person who has the best interests of the children as his top priority.
