The state Division of Highways continues work on the Harvey Street underpass in downtown Williamson. The employees are working to repair the steel grates and drains at the viaduct. The grates had become uneven, causing very bumpy driving. The job will likely not be finished for a few more weeks. The crew out of Huntington was working again on Monday. The detours that local motorists are having to take have become a hindrance for many. They have to use the “Armour Crossing” or the “Hairpin Curve” at Vinson Street to get into, or out of, downtown Williamson.
