Two guilty pleas entered in Mingo County Circuit Court

WILLIAMSON - According to information released by the Mingo County Prosecutor’s Office, two female criminal defendants entered felony guilty pleas during the month of February, and the cases are outlined as follows.


Heather Mariea Beasley pleaded guilty to child neglect resulting in bodily injury as charged in Information No. J14-F44. Beasley is exposed to a sentence of confinement in a state correctional facility for an indefinite term of not less than one nor more than three years.


Beasley was represented in court by Attorney C. Christopher Younger and Prosecuting Attorney Teresa D. Maynard represented the state of West Virginia. West Virginia State Trooper J. Matheny was the investigating officer. Beasley’s sentencing is currently scheduled for April 2.


Kristy Hicks Ray pleaded guilty to child neglect creating risk of serious bodily injury as charged in Information No. J14-F45. Ray is exposed to a sentence of confinement in a state correctional facility for an indefinite term of not less than one nor more than five years.


Ray was represented by Attorney David A. Foley. Prosecuting Attorney Teresa D. Maynard represented the state of West Virginia. West Virginia State Trooper T. Kania was the investigating officer. Ray’s sentencing is also currently scheduled for April 2.
