MAHER - U.S. Route 52 will be closed at the Norfolk Southern Railroad crossing at Maher, W. Va. in Mingo County on Friday, November 1 from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. while Norfolk Southern repairs its crossing.
The crossing located on U.S. 52 between the intersection of U.S. 52 and WV State 65 and the intersection of U.S. 52 and U.S. 119 (Corridor G).
A detour along U.S. 119 and State Route 65 will be provided for through traffic. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained up to the NS Railroad crossing for local traffic. Beginning at 2:30 p.m., one lane will be opened and flaggers will maintain two way traffic.
Drivers are advised to adjust their departure times and to expect delays at this location throughout the day.
