Wayne woman arrested for murder

WAYNE, W. Va. – West Virginia State Police in Wayne, W.Va. arrested a 31-year old woman, Erica Dawn Streets, for the murder of Julius Davis, also of Wayne on Friday.

Trooper First Class D. J. Chapman, of the Wayne Detachment, developed probable cause to arrest Ms. Streets for the murder of Davis.

Davis had previously been reported as a missing person. It is believed that Streets killed Davis and, with the assistance of Daniel Kirkpatrick, 51 years of age, from East Lynn, West Virginia, and buried the body.

Streets was charged with first degree murder. Kirkpatrick was charged with being an accessory after the fact to first degree murder. Both suspects were lodged in the Western Regional Jail to await arraignment in Wayne County Magistrate Court. Members of the West Virginia State Police are currently attempting to recover the body of Mr. Davis in Wayne County.
