June 30, 2013
My brother, Samuel (Sam) James Henry, III, passed away early on Friday morning, June 28, 2013, at the age of 67. He made his home at 19 South Sunset Blvd., Williamson.
He was preceded in death by our father, Amos Preston Henry.
Sam is survived by our mother, with whom he made his home, Freda Layne Henry and, me, his brother, Daniel Keith Henry also of Sunset Blvd., Williamson. Sam is also survived by Vickie Henry Hadley of Forest Hills, Ky. Vickie was not only his first cousin but a very dear and special friend. Other survivors include a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
It was my brother’s wish that his body be donated to science with Marshall University, later to be cremated with his cremains finally returned to his beloved family.
Sam was born on November 8, 1945, in Williamson. He was a 1963 graduate of Williamson High School, a graduate of Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tenn, and he was in the United States Air Force, based out of Great Falls, Montana.
Sam worked most of his career with Delta Insurance Company, working out of Atlanta, Ga., and San Francisco, Ca., prior to retiring and returning to Williamson where he lived out the remainder of his life. Sam had the great joy of owning his first home when coming back to Williamson. Sam truly enjoyed working around his home, planting flowers, shrubs and trees.
I know my brother was very content with returning home and doing all these things.
Rest in peace, my brother. I love you, Danny
