Nancy Hunt Runyon, 66 of Delbarton, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday June 5, 2013.
She was born Dec. 19, 1946 at Williamson. She was the daughter of the late Harmon Sr. and Hessie Messer Hunt. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Holtsclaw.
Nancy was retired as a postal clerk at the Delbarton Post Office having worked more than 24 years. She was also a member of the Duncan Fork United Baptist Church.
Those left behind to cherish her memories include her loving husband of 51 years, Dallas Thurman Runyon Sr., sons, Dallas and wife Stephanie Runyon and David and wife Kim Runyon, Daughter, Debbie and husband Henry Bishop, grandchildren, Amanda Foster and husband Jon, Zachary, David and Cody Runyon and Chad Bishop and wife Amber and their daughter, Addison, brothers, Harmon Jr. (Brenda) Hunt of Beech Creek, Wallace (Vesta) Hunt and Leslie (Polly) Hunt of Bias and Lewis Hunt of Elk Creek, sisters, Louella (Joe) Whitt of Varney, Alice (Luther) Workman and Bonnie (Edgar) Williams both of Bias, Myrtle (Larry) Smith of Matewan and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel Saturday morning June 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Elders Eddie Layne and Ransom Chafin officiating. Burial will follow in the Runyon-Hunt Cemetery at Bias. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrell Mahon Jr., Freddie Dean, Dustin Hunt, John Henry Maynard, Phillip Sheppard, Clifton Frye, Edgar Williams, Gene Brinager and Merlon Workman.
Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel Friday, June 7, 2013, from 6-9 p.m.
