SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky - A Crab Orchard man who works in the area has been missing since last Saturday and his family is asking the public’s help.
Christina Daniels said her husband, Stevie Daniels, works at a construction company during the week and stays at the Sweet Dreams Suites in Goody. He had called her after he arrived at the hotel Saturday night, shortly after 9 p.m.
“He said he was walking down by the river,” Daniels told the Daily News. “He doesn’t smoke in the room, so he sometimes walked down there to smoke. He said he was going to go to the room and shower, and wait for me to call him back.”
However, when Christina Daniels called her husband, he did not answerr. She said the men whom he shared a room with did not see him that night either.
“They told me they kept waiting for him to come back, his car was still parked at the hotel,” she said. “But he didn’t come back.”
Stevie Daniels’ belongings were left in the hotel room as well, she said.
Christina said she and her husband spoke often throughout the day and night by telephone.
“He called me all the time,” she said. “He called me every morning at 3:30, because he knows that’s when I get up. We were talking about the weekend, when he was coming home. He wanted me to take some time off work for us to spend together.”
The Daniels have three sons, one of whom was out of town, participating in a wrestling tournament.
“We had been on the phone a lot, talking about that,” she said. “We were waiting for the results of that, and then suddenly he was gone.”
Christina said he oldest son came to the hotel Monday morning when Kentucky State Police came to investigate, and that Stevie’s clothes and car were still at Suite Dreams. The only thing missing was his wallet and his cell phone, she said.
The Daily News was unable to obtain any information from KSP.
Stevie Daniels is 6 feet tall, with brown hair and blue eyes, and weighs approximately 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie, jeans and sandals. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, please call the Kentucky State Police at 606 433-7711.
