Mary Agnes Mahon, 70, of Delbarton, formerly of Beech Creek, passed away Thursday, May a6, 20a3 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Ky.
Born February 2, a943 at O’Keefe, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Easter Kennedy Mahon.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Carl Melvin Mahon, a sister-in-law Linda Lou Coleman Mahon, and a brother-in-law Albert Mahon.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Ben Creek Church of Christ where she loved to attend church and be in the company of her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Survivors include a son Barrett Mahon (Crystal Tichna) of Delbarton, a sister Ruby Mahon of Beech Creek, a brother Dave (Patsy) Mahon of Beech Creek, two grandchildren Derek Mahon and April Mahon, two nieces that Mary thought of as the daughters that she never had, Charlotte Blankenship and Louise Cantrell both of Beech Creek. Also surviving is a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May a9, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the Ben Creek Church of Christ with Gene Clemons, Tommy Estepp, and David Blankenship officiating.
Burial will follow in the Kennedy-Mahon Cemetery at Beech Creek with Barrett Mahon, Gabriel Mahon, Eric Blankenship, Stevie Mahon, Mick McCoy, and Kenny Prater serving as pallbearers.
Visitaton will be after 6 p.m. Saturday at the Ben Creek Church of Christ with special services at 7 p.m.
