WILLIAMSON — Local singers who have signed with the Williamson-based Lyrick Promotions, LTD., will be performing Saturday, March 16, at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
John Carlin, Lyrick’s president, said that his full roster of homegrown talent would take the stage from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. However, prospective singers can also take command of the stage to give their own performances, with a chance to be discovered and possibly become a professional recording artist themselves.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m. It will cost $11 for guest admission and $20 for artist registration.
Artists, and their respective genres, who will perform include:
Renea JonesCountry — / R&B;
Tim Michaels — Country;
Garret Travers — Alt pop rock;
Kelsie May — R&B;
Mahayla Caudill — Bluegrass/Country;
James Maynard — Country;
Kayla Slone — Country;
Holly White — Pop;
Cathy Marcum — Gospel;
Mike and Kaci Matney — Country/Pop;
Kelsie May — Pop;
Mahayla Caudill — Country.
Each artist has been profiled before by the Daily News and a few of them have spent time in Nashville, Tenn., with PCG Nashville, working towards bettering themselves as musicians. Both Jones and Michaels have had recent visits to the city, with Michaels in particular nearing release to a single on iTunes. Slone, meanwhile, has been featured on “Anderson,” and will perform at the Grand Ole Opry on March 23.
