Truman Blackburn, 84, of McAndrews, Ky., passed away Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center, Hazard, Ky., after a lingering illness.
He was born April 2, 1928, at South Webster, Ohio, the son of the late Wash and Vesta Mullins Blackburn.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta Blackburn; and stepdaughter, Barbara Hunt.
Truman owned and operated his own TV line for several years and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his caretakers, Roger and Debra Conley of Pinsonfork, Ky.; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, October 4, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with David Parsley and Dennis Wolford officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery, McAndrews, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, at the funeral home chapel with special services at 7 p.m.
