Clyde Copley, 87, passed away September 21.
He retired as the principal of Bruce Middle School and was an assistant principal, teacher and basketball coach of Fairdale High School. He started his career as an educator, serving as principal, coach and teacher of Warfield High School in Martin Co., Ky. He was also a WWII Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sarah; daughters, Karen Stephenson (Gary), Becky Dant (Kevin); son, Greg Copley (June); five grandchildren two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mable Dalton, Napa, Calif., Frances Maynard, Charleston; brother, Glenn Copley, Warfield, Ky.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Pewee Valley Presbyterian Church, 2 p.m. Saturday September 29. Memorial contributions may be made to Pewee Valley Presbyterian Church.
