Joann Hunt, 72, of Delbarton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2012. She was at the Logan Regional Care Center at the time of her passing.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 25, at 1 p.m. at the Chafin Funeral Home in Delbarton. The Rev. Michael Browning and the Rev. Cecil Johnson will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Hunt Family Cemetery in Delbarton.
Born on May 28, 1940, in Delbarton, she was the daughter of the late Lula and Chester Rutherford.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Hunt, Sr.; one brother, Chester Rutherford; and one sister, Janice Runyon.
Survivors include her son Alex (Joy) Hunt, Jr. of Delbarton; daughters, Carol(Don) Crum of Jefferson City, Tenn., Peggy Perry of Turkey Creek, Ky., and Lisa (Moss) McCloud of Dingess; two brothers, Bill Rutherford of Delbarton, James Rutherford of Cleveland, Ohio; and two sisters Betty Justice of Delbarton and Dora Lee Estepp of Florida. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Don Crum, Jonathan Crum, Allen Perry, Alexandria Perry, Alex Hunt, III, Zachary McCloud, and Zoe McCloud and three great-grandchildren Carter and Donovan Perry and Emna Crum.
Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker and a member of Riverview Freewill Baptist Church at Gilbert. She also worked for several years as nursing assistant at Williamson Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel from 6 p.m until 9 p.m. on Monday, September 24.
