Molly Cora (Kate) Daniels, 70, of Richlands, Va., formerly of Mingo County, went home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2012, while a patient at the Dickensonville Rest Home.
She was born and raised in Mingo County to the late Roy and Sadie Cline Hatfield. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, and a daughter, Barbara Daniels.
She was a Christian and of the Pentecostal faith.
She leaves behind her baby brother, Bud (Jackie) Hatfield of Illinois, and her baby sister, Joyce (Billy Joe) Hatfield of Logan. Her children include, Kathryn (Freddie) Crum of Varney, James (Natalie) Collins of Concord, N.C., Roy (Angie) Collins of Richlands, Va., Mary (Anthony) Adams of Beech Creek, Dorothy (Jack) Hickman Jr. of Buchannon, Va., and Kelly R. Daniels of Concord; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her but the Lord needed another Angel to watch over us.
Funeral services will be held Friday September 21, at 11 a.m. at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Starr, the Rev. Gary “Bo” Starr and the Rev. David Fergusson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pie Cemetery at Varney. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.. Thursday evening.
